Water Buffalo in Guam

I saw those statues of carabao or water buffalo when I went to Guam.  Those were the ones found outside the airport, I believe there are more around the island - particularly in tourist spots.  If I remember it correctly, tourists will get a price for having their picture taken beside all those water buffaloes.  I didn't really see any real ones when I was there but then again I wasn't given the chance to visit the rural side of the island.  I like how colorful and unique they painted those water buffaloes.

I remember when I last went back in my hometown to actually get near one. I was still scared to get close to it because of the leeches that are found on most of them as mentioned by my grandma back when I was still a child. :)
