My mom sent another set of toys for our little girl. Here's my favorite - Storybook Rhymes by Fisher Price. It has this bookworm design with lights and sing-along nursery rhymes. There is a light when you press the nose and when you open the pages. It also teaches numbers, letters and colors. It uses 3AAA batteries. The battery lasts longs and we're glad to have sets of rechargeable batteries.
My little girl always carry this with her. She likes pressing the nose over and over and also flipping the pages and pressing all the buttons. Sometimes I even hear her dance with and hum with its music.
This is another game that I played for awhile, I think only a week since I forgot my username and password. It's called zwinky. I saw this game in facebook. I especially like this archade games in zwinky. It's cute though I prefer browser-based games now.
Travian at www.travian.com. This is a game that's somewhat like the older version of simcity. My husband introduced this browser-based game. Its objective is to upgrade all resources upto 100 and protect your city by having strong army and other defense. It's a game that requires time since other players can invade your city, steal all resources and kill all your armies.
I can't tell you enough how thankful I am with digital photography.
First off, I don't have to worry about my picture faiding and no longer having any backup copy of those pictures. I can just have backups of my digital pictures in my computer, in an external storage or even online albums. I can also share my pictures via online album. If I want printed copy I can just print them directly from my computer anytime.
Second, I don't have to buy films every day I want new pictures taken. I currently have 2 1GB storage so everytime I go out i've enough storage with me and I can just delete what I don't what in the pictures I've taken.
Lastly, I can see the picture the moment that I'm taking them. No need to wait until my pictures are developed.
I love photography and now that we've digital cameras I can really enjoy this hobby. I hope one day I'll be able to buy a DSLR.
I don't know what's wrong with our postal services. For some reason other counties cannot ship any products/items/mail to us. We were told that their post office said they don't know this place and that they don't ship to a PO BOX. Sadly, PO BOX is our only way to receive letters or packages we do not use our street address for mailing purposes. We don't even have a mailman here... *sigh* I'm in a secluded area - a ghost town!
We kept receiving toys for my baby from my mom and I just noticed that almost all of them are from Fisher Price. Everytime I go to the kid store here, most of the toys I like are also fisher price branded. I wonder if they're the only good brand toys for babies.
I especially like educational toys or books that play music. I want my daughter to have fun playing yet also learn while dong so.
My husband and I got a great deal on Ovation Celebrity CC-28 Acoustic Electric Guitar last year and until now he still loves its sounds. Our little girl even likes listening to him play. Sometimes she even tries to play it. Before going to ebay to buy, we went to the guitar store here first but then the ones they are selling costs $400+ and lower version of this. We also got a free case with this purchase that's why I was so happy with it.
I was about to purchase this walker/ride Fisher Price Go Baby Go! SStride to Ride Lion but then it ran out of stack. :( I've been saving for this for a month so I can uby it as a birthday gift for my little girl and when I finally have the money it's no longer in the store.
Sony DSC-W7 was my first digital camera. If I remember it correctly, I bought it at work in 2006 before going to California to visit my relatives. It was a great buy since it was on sale and I get employee discount so the price was extremely low compared to its regular price. The picture results were also great - after all it's a 7.2MP camera. I was able to use it properly until last month when the picture results became blurry and the menu kept changing - though I selected a particular menu, it just goes to either the previous or the next menu. The casing is already old as well that's why I just copied a picture from the internet to post it here. This camera still works but it seems like I need to get a new one.
My husband also has a digital camera sent my my mom, a DSC-s500. We're using this more often now since it's producing a much better quality picture compared to our Sony DSC-W7. The problem with this camera is its broken battery cover and slow picture processing. We've to press it really hard and wait so long before we're able to take a picture that's why it's been hard to capture every special moment I want to capture.
We're thinking of keeping these two camera since it still works but we're planning on getting a new one - a Nikon DSLR D5000. Perhaps we'll buy that before December of this year - not so sure yet. That depends on our budget.
I like including pictures lots and lots of pictures in my blogs, however I don't want to clatter my entry with so many pictures that's why I'm really glad when I found the rockyou website since I was able to make a slide show of my picture collections about a certain post. Saves space and makes helps my blog load quickly. :)
