Okay, here's my first move to this journey of generating passive income through blogging. I compiled all the websites that other bloggers who are already earning incomes through blogging and will register on all of them.
Before deciding to earn money while blogging, make sure you have a paypal account. Click the links below to read about the sites where I earn money.
You can also get paid to read mail, take surveys and other online activities here. 1) sendearnings 2) linkshowoff
Most of the websites above also require you to have a disclosure policy in your blog, some advertisers accept the copy/paste disclosure provided by http://www.disclosurepolicy.org/ but some, like blogvertise require you to write your own disclosure policy.
I went to a child care center today and was really a bit to see how little staff they have. One staff was taking care of 6 toddles while introducing their child care center to me. Makes me think twice if this is really the place I want my toddler to be in.
I always see the Entrecard banner from other blogs and was really curious of what it's for so last month I signed up and added its widget in my blog. I also read some information listed on their website and found out that Entrecard is merely a badge or banner exchange service. You can earn credits per day. It helps increase traffic which is great for new bloggers like me.
What I've learned with it so far is viewing blogs that have Entrecard and "drop"ing my badge to that blog or advertising my website to other blogs. It's free to sign up and everyday that I drop and accept to, I earn more credits.
The disadvantage though is that it is so time consuming. For one to drop an entrecard, one has to find a website with entrecard, good thing I found this website that generates multiple websites that uses entrecard.
Until I have the time, I'll use entrecard dropper. It's a good way to increase visitors in my blog which will lead to increase in page rank which will mean more opportunity to earn.
I originally thought that the quality of posts is all that matters for one blog to be successful but I read that both quality and quantity are important.
It's very important that information shared to readers are valuable, well thought of or researched but for readers to be loyal to one blog, they should see that the blog is always updated. Quantity of posts are equally important.
When I first blog, I created a family blog - focusing on my family (lover, baby and relatives) and everything else related to them. My second blog is more personal - everything else that I want to write about myself, my day to day life, my hobbies and everything of my interest. These two blogs probably won't interest anybody else but my relatives and some close friends.
Then when I started working in a field that I might be in for a long long long time, I created another blog for it. I was getting more visits on this but I need to work on updating it and advertising it more often.
Having three different blogs for three different themes made it easy for me to categorize what I want my audience to read. It's a lot easier for me to write as well since my writing has direction/specific subject which I also care about.
With my increasing desire of earning income through blogging, I created this new blog. Perhaps I'll generate income, perhaps I won't. Nevertheless, I'm gaining and sharing valuable information and I'm doing something that I like. Blogging!
There are so many ways bloggers can make money through their blog but these are the ones I know right now.
ADSENSE You can use Google Adsense, which is present in almost all blogs and websites. It's really simple to sign up. You simply go to Google Adsense to register and configure the ad the way you want it to appear in your blog. The advertisements generated by Adsense are always related to your posts. But you need to generate significant traffic so that you can make money from what is called CPC or CPM advertisements. CPC =means cost per click or CPM =means cost per thousand impressions. To get more impressions or visits to websites, you need to join networks of bloggers to generate more and more traffic.... Perhaps thousands or millions per day.
AFFILIATE There are affiliate websites available where you can post their ads and if your blog visitor purchase from your blog, you can make profit.
Generating passive income through blogging seems to require lots and lots of patience...
Well, that's my question... How do I make money through blogging?
I love blogging - I've so many personal/work blogs but non of them is profitable. I merely use them to keep an online journal and hope that those journal will still be up for my generations of family to read. However, lately I've been amazed at reading so many blogs from stay at home mom/dad who are making money through blogging.
I don't know how to make money through blogging and this is my attempt to discover how I could do so. I've been blog hopping reading advice from other bloggers hoping that I'll be able to learn from them and compile what I learned in this blog the way I understand them. I know though that it will take awhile but I suppose it's worth learning especially that blogging is my hobby, I might as well make profit out of it right. :)
Who knows I might be a professional blogger someday.... hmmm...
My little girl enjoyed playing with our friend's keyboard which reminded me that I have Yamaha Keyboard complete with accessories back in Virginia. I know it's in the storage of my sister but I don't know if she'll be able to ship it here. That keyboard is fairly new when I left the state. I was just not able to bring it with me because I already have too much luggage. I wonder how much it costs to ship those to me, I really wanted our little girl to start playing keyboard - at least learn to tap the keys and be familiar with the notes. When she's three then we'll start teaching her the proper ways to play it.
Dell Inspiron 9200 was my very first laptop. I bought it at Dell.com when I went to college in 2003. It's been 6 years since I had this laptop. The reason I got it is it's 17 inch screen. I love multitasking so that works perfectly for me since I can open multiple windows at the same time or even working something while watching movie on the other side. Sadly, this wide screen laptop also has some disadvantage for me - it's not very portable. Laptops are meant to be portable but this is quite heavy for me that's why I had a hard time carrying it with me everytime I go to school. Now my husband is the one using it since I have laptop from work. He's now having problem with it since once in awhile the keyboard will stop working so he needs to restart the laptop. The battery won't charge anymore and the charger's end is already loose. We didn't buy any battery yet but he did order charger in ebay already - hopefully next week we'll receive the charger.
I don't know when I'll finally say bye bye to my very first laptop but if it dies, he still has our desktop computer to use. :)
I got my little girl this LeapPad by Leap Frog. We just put a book on the LeapPad and then press the On/Off button for the story reading/activities/games to begin . There are some books that doesn't require a cartridge but there are some that does. That dark blue color in the picture above is the cartridge inserted in its cartridge slot. The magic pen attached is what you use to tap the words or pictures so that the LeapPad will come to life. The LeapPad is able to sound out each letter or word, spell words, make sounds/songs and almost every picture on every book has words to say.
I got my girl a preschool book that has the alphabets. I want her to be able to see the letters and learn how it's pronounced. She's only a year old so she doesn't really need a complicated book. I still read her stories yet sometimes I use this leappad for her to hear some simple stories.
